This Privacy Policy describes how the Phailbot Click Tracker ("the Extension"), a Twitch Extension, handles information when you use it as a viewer or broadcaster on Twitch.
When you interact with the Extension, we process the following information provided by Twitch through its Extension Helper SDK:
All information listed above is used solely to relay click events from viewers to the broadcaster's connected tools (such as Streamer.bot) in real time. Click events are transmitted through a WebSocket connection and are not stored persistently. Once delivered, the data is discarded from server memory.
The Extension does not maintain a database or any persistent storage of user data. All data exists only in server memory for the duration of an active session and is discarded when the connection closes or the server restarts. No click history, user profiles, or aggregated data is retained.
The Extension does not use cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, or any browser-based tracking mechanisms. We do not use any analytics services or third-party tracking tools.
The Extension loads the official Twitch Extension Helper SDK provided by Twitch. No other third-party services, libraries, or APIs are used. The Extension Backend Service (EBS) is hosted at phail-click-tracker-ext.phailbot.com and handles WebSocket relay and authentication verification.
Click event data (including click position, opaque user ID, viewer ID if shared, and channel ID) is relayed in real time to subscribers connected to the broadcaster's channel. These subscribers are tools authorized by the broadcaster (such as Streamer.bot). We do not sell, trade, or otherwise share your data with any other third parties.
Once click event data is received by a broadcaster's tools, it is under the broadcaster's control. Broadcasters may have their own privacy policies and terms of service governing how they use that data. We are not responsible for a broadcaster's handling of data after it leaves our service.
The Extension does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Extension operates within Twitch, which has its own age restrictions and policies.
Because we do not persistently store any personal data, there is no stored data to access, modify, or delete. If you wish to stop sharing your Twitch identity with the Extension, you can revoke identity sharing through your Twitch Extension permissions at any time.
All communication between the Extension and the backend service is encrypted using TLS. Authentication is handled through Twitch-signed JWT tokens, which are verified server-side. Subscriber connections require broadcaster-minted tokens.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
